Never Give Up! - The Lesson of Liverpool's UEFA Champions League Triumph

Lagos Nigeria: It was a weekend, Saturday June 1, Uefa Champions league final day and you just notice pockets of guys gathered here and there, an the talk was all about the finals that will kick off 7.45pm that night. Many say it is an anti-climax finals: Liverpool Vs Tottenham.

All the big names have been knocked out. The prediction that Manchester City will go all the way to win Failed! Ajax unexpected rise to become Giant Killers...looking like they will pull a surprise like the 1995 Squad, also failed!

The last straw was Barcelona after beating Liverpool 3 - 0 at Nou Camp, it seemed all over and second leg  semi finals was just to be a formality. Then Liverpool struck a miracle, scored four unreplied goals with Messi, Suarez, Pique...all on the pitch, Barcelona was kelped like a second rated team and Liverpool advanced on to the final.

 Come to think of it, Liverpool hitman Mo Sallah wasn't in the team. He was at the spectators stand wore a black polo with a bold white inscription on it: "Never Give Up!" urging his teammates to keep pushing and at the end they succeeded in working out what may stand as the greatest comeback in Uefa Champions league history.

Although, Tottenham was a well known foe, but as the clock tick close to kick-off time for the finals, I noticed most of the fans instead of putting on Liverpool replica Jersey as the tradition is, decided to glad in black and some white replica polo Mo Sallah wore that semi finals night, all with the same inscription: Never Give Up!

Well, that again played out during the game. Although. Mo Sallah  scored in the 20th minute of the match, but Tottenham piled up pressure in the last 45 minutes of the game and  was looking like Liverpool will give up the lead. But the fans at the viewing centre began to shout "Never Give Up, Never give up!" Not until Begit scored the second goal that eventually assured the reds the victory.

We all know Liverpool's slogan is "Never Walk Alone" but the lesson to learn from their Uefa triumph this season is Never Give Up! No matter how down the pit  you are; no matter how challenges and situations want to make you burgle, never give up! You miracle is near, keep fighting till the end and you will come out victorious!
