2019 Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Returns with A Bang!: Promise To Take Fans Experience to Another Level

The Copa Lagos returns in 2019 with its eighth edition, confirming its place as the 3rd best international beach soccer event in the world. The showpiece on the Nigerian coast is set to take place between the 1 and 3 November, and will feature a top-draw line-up.

World defending champions Brazil and England will be competing along side with African champions
Senegal and host, Nigeria national teams... complete the four teams that will be fighting for the trophy this time around.

Brazil, who will be making a second appearance at the Copa Lagos tournament, will be competing with their 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup squad. And the organizers believe Nigeria competing at this level, with some of the top world class beach soccer teams will greatly improve the team's showing at the upcoming FIFA world cup November 21st.

Well, we all know how it is at every Copa Lagos event...
There will also be club challenge between four teams - Pepsi Football Academy, Kebbi Beach Soccer Club, Gidi Sharks and Sunset Sports Keta from Ghana.

Copa Lagos over the years has been held in December but organisers say this year's edition was moved forward so as not to clash with FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup scheduled for November 21 - December 1 2019.

"This year, we have taken further steps to broaden the Copa Lagos experience for everyone who attends by enhancing fans engagement as a further contribution to promoting a beach culture and multi-dimensional lifestyle as well as give football-playing fans and Lagosians a taste of playing Copa Lagos." CEO of Kinetic Sports Sola Aiyepeku said in a press conference on Tuesday.

The event did not hold in 2018 and the reason was as a result of the proximity between the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations which took place in Egypt from December 8-14.
