Oghenekaro Etebo Joins Spanish La Liga Side Getafe, on 6 Months Loan Deal

Nigeria midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has joined  Spanish Laliga club Getafe on a six-month loan deal from Sky Bet Championship side, Stoke City.
Getafe can also make the move permanent at the end of the season with a purchase option included in the deal.
The LaLiga outfit was keen on bringing the powerful midfielder to Spain in 2018 but Etebo opted for a move to Stoke City.
Getafe manager Jose Bordalas is keen to bring in a replacement for the retiring Markel Bergara and Etebo is seen as the perfect man to fill the void.

“Following the agreement between Stoke City and Getafe CF, Oghenekaro Peter Etebo arrives on loan until the end of the season with a purchase option,”reads a statement on the club’s website.
”The new Azulon player passed the relevant examinations at the Cemtro clinic by Dr. Pedro Guillen.”
Etebo have been presented to the fans today Thursday, January 9, 2020 .
The 24-year-old has not been able to make any meaningful impact this term for Stoke City, and has seen his season plagued by injuries and lack of game time even when fit.
Etebo previously played in the Spanish top-flight, featuring 14 times for Las Palmas in the 2017/18 season.
