Infographics of An Idealistic Super Eagles Team for Qatar 2022 World Cup

You may have this idea in your head as you see some of the victorious golden eaglets of 2013 and 2015 establish themselves in the Nigeria senior national team - Super Eagles. Players like Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze are currently in the first team.

In building the team expected to compete favourably and possibly become the first African team to win the World in Qatar 2022, we reckoned that the indefatigable captains of Golden Eaglets of 2013 and 2015 squads are missing in the jigsaw puzzle.

Where is Muhammed Musa and Kelechi Nwakali, who did great exploits at the U17 World Cup 2013 and 2015. They should be included in the national team even though they are currently playing with a lower teams.

The NFF took rather a new approach, and if Super Eagles must win the World Cup, then the coaches must look beyond our shores to find players of Nigerian decents playing in some of the top leagues and incorporate them into the national team.

Ideally, we expected a Nigerian coach to be the one to lead the team to Qatar in 2022. As it is, no foreign coach had ever won the World Cup for a country. So in our heads as Nigerian fans we expect Emmanuel Amunike to be that coach.

Amunike, an ex-International who played for Barcelona, instrumental to Nigeria winning Afcon 1994, Olympic gold 1996 and had been in two World cups led the golden Eaglets to win  U17 World Cup in an extraordinary manner in 2015. Amunike, a UEFA grade"A coach" has seen it all. Hehas the cognate skills and experience to lead Super Eagles to Qatar in 2022.

Manager; Emmanuel Amunike
