List of Highest Goal Scorers in Nigeria Premier League (1990 – 2014)
Highest goal scorer award was instituted in 1990 as the league was rebranded as Nigeria Premier League and it was Ishaya Jatau that set the first record of 17 goals. It took another 20 years before the jinx was broken by Ahmed Musa in 2009/2010 season with 18 goals. Just a year after, Jude Aneke raised the bar again with 20 goals. And in the just concluded season, Mfon Udoh took the new goal record to 23.
