Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry on Sunday December 17, arrived Lagos for the Guinness Made of Black programme.
The Arsenal legend was received by a large crowd at Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos upon arrival, to his atmost surprise, I guess. He never expected so much people crowding to catch a glimpse of him at the airport.
The 40-year-old Frenchman is presently in the country to meet winners of the ‘Be a Front Row Fan’ consumer promotion organized by Guinness plc. But the reception took another form... Nigeria fans lavished him with so much love.
The international football icon joined the winners of the Guinness contest to watch the West Brom v Manchester United Premier League game at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

And the event that followed was remarkable as Henry was finally crowned the Igwe of football’ in Nigeria... A title he had held unknowingly in his prime days at Arsenal...revered specially by most Ibo traders and Arsenal fans all around Nigeria
