"So I Am Black!" Racism Bounce Back Into Play In Premier League


The Premier League in England have been often referred to as the most glamoros league in the world and a model many other football associations are taking steps to copy.

Subject like racism may have been long dealt with. "Kicked out of the game" and we found the besuty of an all inclusive league with players from all countries and race pat the back of each other and passionate fans giving their support..until recently the malasie bounce back with pockets of reports here and there

Raheem Sterling
Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling posted a statement on Instagram saying newspapers were fuelling racism by their portrayal of young black players, and the forward was allegedly racially abused during City’s loss to Chelsea, forcing the FA to take decisive action.

“First thing on Monday morning an emergency meeting was convened to discuss racism in football,”

Again, The Dailymail's article opened with the following sentences:
"On the day Chelsea suspended four fans for their abuse of England forward Raheem Sterling, these were the scenes at Goodison Park….Isaac Success was subjected to aggressive behaviour bby Everton supporters."


The Premier League has appealed to fans to be "positive and respectful" following recent allegations of racism and abuse in Sandford Bridge and Goodison Park..

“We’d all been concerned that what we were dealing with was a deep-rooted, insidious problem with myriad complex societal causes," an FA insider told us what went on in the meeting

“I was really sure that we kicked racism out of football a few years back,” our source continued.

“I remember us doing a lot of mutual back-patting and producing some world-class leaflets about just how hard we’d kicked racism and how far from football it had gone... Maybe racism hit the corner flag and bounced back into play."

"We urge any player or fan to quickly report anyone they found racially abusing anyone. The premiership belong to all of us. Therefore, we must protect its culture, the beauty and the essence of league."
