About the Project
Barcelona and Super Falcons captain Asisat Oshoala through her Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with blaugrana sports the official licensee of Barca Lagos Academy in the areas of technical support ahead of the 2019 Football4girls Clinic in Lagos in December.
The Spanish outfit with a branch in Lagos is set to assist the Foundation in areas of technical support by providing coaches and other needed equipment for the clinic which is scheduled to hold at the Campus mini stadium Lagos Island, Lagos.
Oshoala said that the deal will improve the level of experience and exposure for the girls as they will also get the opportunity to learn at the feet of some of the best coaches in the game. She added that three outstanding girls from the clinic exercise will be awarded scholarships into Barca Lagos Academy.
Leslie Oghomienor, Chairman of Blaugrana Sports International, the official licensee of Barca Lagos Academy, a school modelled on Barcelona FC’s youth system revealed that Blaugrana Sports is ready to support the Foundation of the three time African Women Footballer of the Year winner to help improve the level of women’s football in Africa .
