Kano Pillars Players Smile to the Bank - What Happened?

 


Ahead of the Sai Masu Gidas CAF Confederation’s cup clash with Senegalese giants, ASC Jaraaf, Kano state Government, has decided to settled the nine months outstanding match bonuses being owed by the players and technical crew of the club for the 2019/2020 season worth over seven million Naira.


 In a dinner organized for the players and technical crew of the National cup champions by the state Government of Wednesday night, the deputy Governor, Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, said, the state Government have decided to settle the outstanding bonuses to motivates the players to prepare well for the challenges ahead of them in the forthcoming 2020/21 football season.


 He reaffirmed the state Government commitment in giving top priority to the welfare of the team and warned them to do their best in making football loving Nigerians proud.


 “Let me remind you that we are not expecting what happened last season against Asanti Kotoko to be repeated this year.


 “The state Government and and people of Kano have not forgotten the poor performance of the team, Gawuna said.


 Dr. Gawuna emphasized that the state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is ever ready to do anything that would motivates the players to perform handsomely in the continent and the domestic league (NPFL). 


 Dr. Gawuna who doubled as the Kano Pillars FC continental committee chairman said government and people of the state are waiting keenly and see what the players can give to the team in Senegal when they files out against ASC Jaraaf.


 The team of delegation of the Sai Masu Gidas for the all important encounter with ASC Jaraaf left for Dakar, Senegal, this Thursday evening.


 And according to the sports loving deputy Governor, the state Government have chattered a flight from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport to Dakar.


 On his part, chairman of the state’s sports commission and former chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima said, the state government has done its part and now is for the players to do the needful in the double legged encounter with ASC Jaraaf.


 Galadima urged the players to be focus and avoid anything that would distract them on the huge challenges awaits them.


 Also speaking, chairman of the club, Alhaji Shuaibu Yahaya Jambul commended the Governor Ganduje for his moral and financial support to the Sai Masu Gida all the time.


 Responding on behalf of the players, Christopher Madaki expressed their delight and appreciation for the kind of reception and treatment they are receiving from the state government and pledged to justified the confidence by going all out for victory.


 The first leg of the double encounter will be played on Saturday 28th November 2020 in Dakar, Senegal with a return leg in Nigeria in a forthnight.
