NFF Set to Achieving A Great Milestone In Modern Day Football Administration

 

The independence of football administration is hinched on self-financing. If you didn't want government to interfer in football matters, then you don't collect government money, because he who pays the Piper dictates the tune. 

Since the history of football in Nigeria, it has always been the government financing the activities of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). So you should understand the great milestone the Amaju Pinnick led NFF is about to achieve. - 100% Self Financing. 

One thing the NFF president Amaju Pinnick has done so well is to get himself vitally connected to both FIFA and CAF as executive member. So he can relate with both Presidents one-on-one; and such vital connections has even made it easier for Nigeria to receive it's  statutory fundings as at when due. 

Apart from the statutory funds they receive as members of the football governing bodies, FIFA and CAF, the  Pinnick administration has also stood out in convincing corporate bodies to partner with NFF. 

The phenomenal partnership with the American sportswear company Nike has been so successful and mutually beneficial; may have set off the enabling structure which is now attracting several Corporate brands to NFF. Thanks to the improving brand image and fans association with the national teams - Super Eagles and Super Falcons. 

Recently, NFF has sealed several sponsorship deals which has brought them to 95% self sufficient, according to Mr. Pinnick

They signed NGN300million partnership with Air Peace, NGN500 million with MTN and another NGN300 million with Premier Lotto. 

Mr. Pinnick is confident that NFF will attain 100% self financing before the end of the year.
