Kylian Mbappe Wins " Dubai d'Or" The Global Men's Soccer Player of the Year Awards
Kylian Mbappe has won the Globe Soccer Awards' Men's Player of the Year prize.
The Frenchman has beaten the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi. His win came as a total surprise for many.
Mbappe has scored 51 goals and provided 22 assists for club and country in 2021. He is the Ligue 1 top scorer and the league winner.
Paris Saint-Germain only reached the Champions League semifinals last season while France won the Nations League after a terrible Euro 2020 performance.
The Globe Soccer Awards are often jokingly called 'the Dubai d'Or'. Cristiano Ronaldo is the player with the most Player of the Year prizes while his agent, Jorge Mendes, has won the Agent of the Year award on multiple occasions.
