How Super Falcons will Play Against Brazil Today - Formation, Game Plan, Everything You Need to Know About this 2024 Paris Olympic Game

Super Falcons will be playing their first Olympics game since 2008 and  what way to start by playing against Brazil, 1 gold and 2 silver medalists.

The game will be played today, Thursday July 25 at the Boardeux stadium by 6:00pm Nigeria time and you can watch it on television, live broadcast on Supersports. Both nations have met twice in competitive fixtures with Brazil winning both games.

The most recent meeting was at the 2008 Beijing Olympics where Brazil, led by Marta ran out 3-1 winners. Super falcons failed to make it out of the group stage in that edition, finishing bottom of a group containing Brazil, Germany, and North Korea.

However, the Nigeria women national team have shown some decent level of improvement following their 2023 World Cup performance, where they got to the quarter finals,  beating host Australia, drew with Canada and Republic of Ireland. They were only beating by England in a match many felt Falcons should have sealed the game during 120 minutes of intense game. They eventually lost to lionesses 3 -4 on penalty shootout.

Since then, the Nigerian team have not lost any competitive game, only lost 0 - 1 to Canada in a preparatory game ahead of today's game.
