NIGERIA VS IRAN: Comment and Predict Super Eagles First Game in 2014 World Cup – Win Lots of Prizes

Super Eagles of Nigeria have finally arrived in Brazil for 2014 FIFA World cup – so let the games begin!

You’ve seen all the build ups on the road to Brazil. The International friendly matches against Mexico, Scotland, and Greece which all ended draw; then the final game against USA, in which Nigeria lost by 1 – 2.

You’ve also seen the final 23 man list Stephen Keshi selected to represent Nigeria in the mundial. I know you have your own personal opinion about the team.

Nigeria is currently placed 44^th position in Coca-cola FIFA World Ranking and 6^th in Africa. With Super Eagles recent performances many football bluffs are of the opinion that Nigeria shouldn’t even be regarded as dark horse in Brazil.  They are underdogs and are likely to play only 3 mandatory games at the group stage; then go back home.

But Seun Ajilagba, a sports journalist in Nigeria said on Channels TV program ‘Rubbin Mind’: “This is exactly how Nigeria likes to be seen as underdogs. It put away all pressure off the team and gets them determined to become giant killers.”

Some football analysts believe Super Eagles have the capacity to pull off some surprises in Brazil. Therefore, any country that chooses to under rate the Africa Champions could be in for a big surprise.

Some of the fans we interviewed on the streets of Lagos Nigeria believe Super Eagles have what it takes to go all the way to semi finals. They seem to have so much confidence in Keshi and his team.
