Nigeria's Hottest Player At the Moment... Going into the New Year 2017

Kelechi Iheanacho Vs Victor Moses, 

After scoring a goal in Manchester City game against Hull City on Tuesday December 27, Kelechi Iheanacho became toss of the fans and have been voted by Popular Side as Nigeria's hottest player of the moment; beating Victor Moses to it as we go into the New year 2017.

As you already know, Popular Side is a crew from GreenHunters Sports Marketing International that get out on the streets around Nigeria to get opinion of fans out there. A total 5,000 fans responded on the streets of Abuja, Kaduna, Lagos and Port Harcourt.... Iheanacho got 3,012 votes to Moses 1,308 Votes and Alex Iwobi's 602 Votes among others.


Iheanacho's record has been very impressive, scoring 12 goals, 6 Assists in 19 appearances in a star studded Manchester City team this year 2016... Converted to play either as a striker or a support stiker in both PL and UCL games. Iheanacho had also scored for the Super Eagles against Tanzania in AFCON qualifiers and Zambia in 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers

Fans out there doesn't only feel Iheanacho is the hottest at the moment, they believe he has a bright future under Pep Guardiola, one of the finest team manager (Coach) of this generation.


On the other hand, there've been a resurgence of Victor Moses, since his return from a loan spell with West Ham. Moses have been in the tick of Chelsea's outstanding performances... Recording 16 straight win in the Premiership and Moses has 5goals to his credit. He also scored for Super Eagles against Algeria in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Uyo.


Victor have outshone several compatriots on PL.... Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa, Mikel Obi... and shown he can carry Super Eagles nascent team on his shoulders in 2017, through the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

The general feeling of the fans is that Super Eagles now have the type of players and coaching crew that can get Nigeria to Russia 2018 World Cup.
