Junior Lokosa' s World Cup Snub Generates So Much Controversy on Social Media

Last night I read and read in diferent fora the uprising of many Nigerian fans against #Lokosa'sSnub! Many felt Junior Lokosa and Simy Nwankwo should have been selected ahead of Odion Ighalo, because both players are currently in an incredible goal scoring form.

Lokosa performance and goal scoring form in NPFL, 18 goals in 21 games isn't something to overlook easily. Watching his videos will clearly show you that some of his goals are worldclass in all ramification.

But the only thing that may have worked against Lokosa is the low rating of NPFL, Rohr has long  distance himself from from players in the local as not good enough. The German tactician has clearly said he will take the bulwark of players who helped qualified Nigeria for the mundial.

Perhaps, Lokosa contest was against Simy Nwankwo. Rohr just need a second point man, someone who can bring a different dimension to his attacking option. Clearly, Odion Ighalo is his first choice striker for now. But Simy Nwankwo 6 ft 6 tall bustling around defenders may be the alternative Rohr is looking for....and playing with Colton was an added advantage.

Believe, Rohr has made up his mind on simy even before the DR Congo game. Of course, that the reason he played Lokosa wild instead as a point man.

The thing is, it's not possible for all the avalanche of good players we have in Nigetia to be at World cup, but many fans still fill dropping Lokosa was a grave mistake.
