Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has invited 23 players for his side's international friendly match against Ukraine staging at the Dnipro Arena on September 10.
The German born tactician led the Nigeria to win bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and he is already preparing for the 2021 edition in Cameroon.
With so much shake up to the squad that finished third in Egypt, Rohr is hoping to find replacements for some of the players who will not be a part of the team's future.
The likes of John Obi Mikel and Odion Ighalo have announced their retirement from the national team, while John Ogu and Daniel Akpeyi were left out of the invited players for the match.
Meanwhile, Tyronne Ebuehi, who got injured just before the 2018 World Cup is back in the team having being sidelined for close to a year.
While Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has also been handed another chance to reclaim his spot in the national team after missing out of the 2019 AFCON championship.
Germany based goalkeeper Emil Maduka Okoye has been handed his first ever call up as replacement for Akpeyi, as the manager continues to search for a quality goalkeeper.
Scotland –based midfielder Joe Aribo is also getting his first call up from the Nigerian national team and could make his debut in the match.
