Enugu Rangers Attracts Big Businesses: Sealed 5years Merchandising Deal with Lotto Sportswear and Partnership with First Bank

Enugu Rangers have continued to attract business interests of big brands which are bound to boost the NPFL giants' revenue from this season.

Just less than 24 hours after signing a kit merchandising contract with Italian sportswear giants, Lotto SPA, the Flying Antelopes have attracted interest of First Bank PLC for possible Shirt Sponsorship.

Enugu Rangers and Lotto put finishing touches on their deal on Tuesday, September 24 at the clubs headquarters in Enugu.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side will wear Lotto kits for the next five years after inking a five years deal with the Italian sportswear company.

As stipulated in the deal, Lotto will provide all the kit equipment for Rangers. There will be a surplus of jerseys for the players to exchange shirts with opponents after the game.

Lotto will also provide replica jerseys to put on sale for the theming fans... and in return for the sales, also pay royalty to Rangers

Then on Wednesday September 25, First Bank PLC representatives visited the club’s Enugu office to indicate their interest to do business with them.

Relationship Manager, Public Sector Group, First Bank of Nigeria, Enugu, Mr. Patrick Ubro, said Rangers were the ideal choice for the financial institution to build business relationship with.

“We see Rangers as a world brand that deserves an equally world class financial institution like us for a partnership that we hope will be mutual beneficial to both institutions,” Ubro said.

"There are several areas of mutual interest and I trust we can work together to achieve our various targets.”

Enugu Rangers is one of Nigeria's traditional team that have remained in the elite league for over 40 years running, perhaps the most supported team with a fan based estimated to be over 20 million.

Although the new NPFL season is yet to kick off, Rangers have started their new campaign already in the CAF Confederation Cup.

They lost 2-1 away in Gabon to AS Pelicans in the second preliminary round and will host the return leg on Sunday, September 29 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
