Eunisell Golden Boot Award Get Joint Winners for NPFL 2020/21 Season
Charles Atshimene of champions Akwa United and Silas Nwankwo of Nasarawa United have finished the season as joint winners of the prestigious Eunisell Boot after they finished top scorers of the NPFL on 19 goals apiece.
Atshimene looked like running away with the top award when he scored from the penalty spot for his team loss to Lobi Stars today, only for Nwankwo to score a late consolation goal for Nasarawa in a 3-1 loss at Abia Warriors.
Two years ago, the same clubs players, Akwa United goal machine, Mfon Udoh and Nasarawa United forward Sunusi Ibrahim also tied in the goals race and were jointly awarded the Eunisell Boot.
The Eunisell Boot rewards the winner with 200,000 Naira a goal and that means Nwankwo and Atshimene were each take home 3.8 Million Naira as prize money.
The Eunisell Golden Boot seeks to elevate the standard of the NPFL by inspiring top stars to boost their performance through incentives and raise fresh consciousness about the domestic top flight.
