Abuja List of Football Academies and their Contacts

 

I guess you are searching for a football academy here in Abuja, the capital city. Maybe,  you are thinking of joining an academy close to you for whatever reasons.  Perhaps, you or your parents don't want you to travel far away from home. especially while you are under age or still in school, it may not be wise to travel that far every other day for your football training. 

It is against FIFA rules to subject a minor to such rigorous distance or away from parents for training. I will not subscribe that you drop out of school and move into a football academy camp that does run college/secondary school curriculum. That will be shooting yourself on the foot.

You will need your school certification sometime in life after your football career. I can tell you, it may be too difficult to go back to secondary school at age 35 or so. You find it even more difficult to start an apprenticeship scheme to learn a trade. 

For many of you under 15s who keep calling me from Abuja, I have a solution for you here. First, while you are still in secondary school, forget about joining any of the best academies in Nigeria if they are not close to you. Find an academy close to you and begin training with them to learn some of the fundamental of football. When you graduate you may decide to push further.
