Are you Scared!! I guess most teams going into AFCON 2021 round of sixteen will be weary of this Nigerian squad.
Nigeria, the only team that recorded 100% win in the group stage, dominated in their last group game against Guinea Bissau, despite making eight changes from their previous starting line-up.
Eguaveon ended up playing eleven different players from what you may call his first choice starting line-up and the quality of their play didn't drop.
Going into the match, Super Eagles had already qualified and it was Guinea Bissau that needed the game badly, yet the Nigeria second team out played their fellow West African compatriots.
Mitchel Ngogo a Gabonese player agent said "Nigeria's team is light years ahead of Guinea Bissau in terms of quality."The Nigerians played with several chances in the first half, and the game could ended 5 - 0 or so."
Reacting to the team’s performance, Nigeria's former Captain and midfielder Austin Jay Jay Okocha during his analysis on Supersports AFCON coverage, said that Eguavoen is blessed with an array of talents capable of reaching the finals and eventually winning the trophy, if well utilized.
He noted that the team has cover up for the different position and that has been exhibited against Guinea-Bissau.
“I am really impressed with the general performance of the Super Eagles against Guinea-Bissau despite playing the second team,” Okocha, a former Super Eagles player told Supersports.

What excites me is, the Super Eagles have shown how versatile they can be. The team play as a unit and doesn't rely on few players. Every position has almost the same quality replacement and several players can do the scoring. For instance, Nigeria have scored a total of six goals in the tournament, each by a different player.
And in the three games they played, it was three different Nigerian players: Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon and William EKong, that won the Man of the Match. That shows the dept of the team.
Okocha congratulated Eguavoen and the Super Eagles players for their impressive performance so far at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The three-time AFCON champions showed class in their 2 - 0 defeat of Guinea-Bissau, to maintain 100% winning record at the tournament.
Goals from Sadiq Umar and William Troost-Ekong was enough to seal another three points for the Super Eagles
The victory means, Nigeria top Group D on nine points while Egypt, who defeated Sudan 1-0 sit second on six points.
