Nigeria Records Biggest Win in Her Football History After Rounding Up Sao Tome 0 - 10 in Morrocco

 


In less than two months incharge, Jose Peseiro break Nigeria senior national team 63 years old record, by leading Super Eagles to the rounding up of Sao Tome 0 - 10 in Morocco.


Prior to this game, Nigeria's 10-1 defeat of Dahomey in November 29, 1959 stood as the country's biggest win ever, until Monday June 13, 2022  when Super Eagles demolition Sao Tome and Principe in Morocco, 0 - 10


A little of history, Burkina Faso, Dahomey suffered a 10-1 loss in Nkrumah Cup fixture. In the 11-goal clash, Nigeria team handled by Israeli tactician Jerry Beit halevi brought down the Squirrels with Onyeali Elkana finding the net on four occasions.


Buraimoh Abudu bagged a hat-trick while Albert Onyeawuna, Dejo Fayemi and Daniel Okwudili also registered their names among the goalscorers at the National Stadium, Lagos.


This time around, it was Victor Osimhen who scored 4 goals, Terem Moffi scored a brace, Oghenekaro Etebo, Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Emmanuel Dennis were all in the score sheet as Super Eagles Rounded Up Sao Tome 0 - 10 in Afcon 2023 qualifier match in Morocco.
