Newly Elected Lagos FA Chairman Assures Better Days Ahead For Football Stakeholders
The newly elected chairman of Lagos State Football Association LSFA, Fuad Oki has assured football stakeholders in the state that during his own tenure football would be better than previous administration.
Oki disclosed this while chatting with our correspondence recently, that his administration would turn things around saying that the era of state FA organising FA Cup and Eko football league alone are gone.
He promised to introduce more football competitions that would keep coaches, players, club owners, refrees, sport journalists and other football stakeholders busy throughout his tenure.
“During my own tenure, there would be a lot of football competitions from divison to the state.Aside FA Cup, more football competitions like Oba’s Cup, Lagos Street Soccer and various leagues fron various categories would be introduced to the club owners.
“If all these competions are in place, many of our coaches, refrees and other football stakeholders would be fully engaged which is lacking in the last administration. All I want is the cooperation of all the stakeholders so that we can achieve common goal at the end of my tenure,”he said.
Oki however thanked the football family in the state for their support given to him during his campaign and elections proper.
He said his victory in the poll was well deserved and vowed to take the football to the next level during his own administration.
Oki defeated polled 13 votes to defeat Alhaji Azeez Tade with a vote to emerge as elected Lagos FA chairman.
Hope he performs well unlike the former FA chairman. Football in Lagos needs a revamp.
