Three Nigerians Included in CAF Best XI for AFCON 2023

  


Ivory Coast and Nigeria, each with three players, have the highest representation in the tournament's eleven. These are the chosen ones.


Super Eagles trio William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina and Ademola Lookman have been included in Best X1 for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.


After the dramatic victory of Ivory Coast in the final and the awards for the tournament's MVP, top scorer, and best goalkeeper defined, the selection of the Best XI of the AFCON 2023 was still pending, but now we have it here.


The CAF technical study group chose Emerse Faé as the best coach of the championship, while the 11 selected outfield players were as follows:


Goalkeeper: Ronwen Williams (South Africa)


 Defenders: Ola Aina (Nigeria), Ghislan Konan (Cote d'Ivoire), William Troost-Ekong (Nigeria), Chancel Mbemba (DR Congo).


Midfielders: Teboho Mokoena (South Africa), Jean Michael Seri (Cote d'Ivoire), Franck Kessie (Cote d'Ivoire)


 Strikers: Yoane Wissa (DR Congo), Ademola Lookman (Nigeria), Emilio Nsue (Equatorial Guinea).
