Super Falcons 'No Gree For Anybody' At 2024 Paris Olympic Games - Here's What Randy Waldrum is Planning

The Spyro song "No Gree for anybody" may just be what would be in the heart and mouth of the Super Falcons of Nigeria as they take on Brazil, Spain and Japan in the Group of death at 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games this July.

By the way, the song has become a kind of year 2024 slogan for Nigerians and may never be needed more than now. There's plans to continually play the song in the Super Falcons camp and if possible, get the girls to sing and dance it daily as a way to internalize the message and inspire them ahead of the Olympic Games.

The song "No gree for anybody" is a kind of militant verse that spurs anyone to maintain his or her ground and show forth resilience no matter the extent the adversity is pushing, they are ready to go the extra-mile and prevail. It is a song that springs up the "Nigerian spirit" in the face of wanton opposition. Listen to the song here.

Pachuca Femenil striker Chiwendu Ihezuo believes the Super Falcons cannot be over-awed by any team at Paris 2024 following the team’s remarkable performance at the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. The Nigeria women's team is gradually positioning themselves as a world class side and no country can take us them for granted.

“I feel very happy and grateful for this opportunity and it’s a privilege to have been part of the team that secured the ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics and ensuring that the long 16-year jinx of not qualifying for the Olympics by the Super Falcons was broken."

 - How Randy Waldrum Is Planning to Build A More Formidable Team for the Olympics

The head coach of Nigeria women's national team, Randy Waldrum, let us see how the team is improving. "The girls have shown they are fighters. And as we keep that mentality as part of our team spirit, we can take on any opponent that stand before our goal to win a medal at the games."

“We have been very good defensively. We just have to put in a little more work offensively and be a little more precise around the goal area. With some training opportunities, I believe we shall be able to do that.”

“I would like to create a little more offensively but one thing this won’t allow us is some training time and actual camp where we could train and prepare and work a little more on our game model... '

Speaking further, Waldrum  noted that  Nigerians should not to expect too many changes to the team that prosecuted the qualifiers, adding  he is open to improve the squad with players who will help fill the missing links in the team.

He added: “It may be this exact team or maybe not but we will still continue to train and prepare the group. We are always going to look for players who are going to help us to the next level. I really like our team. We have been very good since the World Cup, we have only conceded two goals in about eight games. We conceded the goals against Australia in just one game. We're optimistic that Nigerians will be proud of our performance in Paris.
