Cameroon's Confederations Cup Hope End in 1 - 1 Draw Against Australia

So a fairly open, occasionally end-to-end game finishes 1-1, and probably finishes both teams chances of progression to the next round, too. They’ll both leave the pitch with fair claim to have shared the full points, but deep down it will be Cameroon who will be disappointed they didn’t wrap this up.

Caneroon sit at the bottom of Group B table after they lost 0 - 2 against Chile, while Germany defeated Australia 3 - 2 .And second fixture saw the two games ended 1 - 1 draws. Now Chile sits on top the Group B table with 4points and only one goal advantage over Germany...both team are most likely to qualify for the next round.

Cameroon will have expected more from the match against Australia - they shows signs of vibrancy and spark in attack, but it was all too sporadic.

Their sit-back-and-counter approach was largely effective, though they’ll be disappointed not to have wrapped this up in the game’s final quarter. It makes one wonder, paradoxically, how capable they will be of doing that when that scenario inevitably arrives in WC qualification against Nigeria.

Some commentriats sitting with us here believe that the game plan could pay-off against Nigeria who showed such lacklust defending, loosing at home 0 - 2 against South Africa in their recent  Afcon qualifiers.
