Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye bid fellow Nigerian
Mikel Obi and other Tianjin Teda team mates farewell on Thursday as he got set
for a six-month loan deal with LaLiga club Malaga.
sports.sina.com.cn reported that Ideye was not
listed as Teda lost 2-1 to Kickers Offenbach in the club’s winter training
match in Marbella, Spain, as the club continued their build-up towards the new
Chinese Super League season.
The Chinese outlet had revealed that Malaga was in
serious negotiations with Tianjin Teda regarding a loan deal for the Nigerian
before this January transfer window closes.
Malaga and Tianjin Teda finally agreed a loan deal
for Ideye on loan to end speculations surrounding the player’s future at the
Chinese side.
He endured a torrid time at Teda since joining the
Chinese Super League club from Olympiacos.
Tianjin Teda paid Olympiakos €12m euros to land
Ideye in 2016 but he has struggled to get into the first team competition since
last summer.
Malaga currently have 11 points in the 2017/2018 La
iga table and are in last place .
