Sadiq Umar Set to Go on Loan – From Italian AS Roma to Dutch NAC Breda
Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar is close to completing a
loan move to Dutch club NAC Breda from Italian club AS Roma.
Sadiq, who was part of Nigeria’s U-23 team that won
bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, spent the first half of the season with
Italian outfit Torino.
Following the cancellation of his loan deal with
Torino, the forward is now on the verge of joining NAC Breda for the second
half of the season.
The 20-year-old featured in only three Serie A games
for Torino.
According to a report in Dutch online news outlet
drimble.nl, NAC Breda and Torino have reached agreement on Sadiq’s transfer
with the forward expected to start training with his new teammates once all the
necessary paperwoks are sorted out.
NAC Breda currently sit in 16th position in the 18
team Eredivisie with 16 points from 19 games.
