Jose Mourinho, The Sacked One! Manchester United Fans In Nigeria React

Jose Mourinho was sacked at Manchester United after winning Europa Cup,  European League and Community shield for the team.

The Portuguese manager often called "The Special One' was sacked after  Liverpool defeated Manchester Unied on Sunday and the team dropped to 9th position on the PL table just before Christmas, the lowest since 1996..

Man united fans in Nigeria are disappointed as they watch their darling team wobble since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. This isn't Man-U we use to know one fans our correspondent spoke to in Port Harcourt.

It is all about Mourinho managerial style. A lot of love lost between manager and players. You are not sure if players wanted to play for him.

Mourinho is an outstanding coach, no doubt. But his pomposity is his bane. It also played out severally in his last stay in Chelsea and in Madrid. Always clashing with big players like Ronaldo, Pogba, players that would have made the difference for him if well managed.

Man-U hasn't been the same since Alex Ferguson left, nobody have been able to restore the great culture and style of play Man-U. It iisn't just about winning, the situation is worst off since Mourinho took over, maybe they should have just left Luis Van Gal. Now, there isn't harmony between players and the coaching crew while management were just giving Mourinho more time, things are degenerating further.

Here in Nigeria, some of the fair weather fans of Man-U has cross carpeted... the fellowship
and excitement of early 2000 has really died down.

I think it is a wrong time to sack Mourinho. It may mean Man-U may not be in contest anymore this season. Before the new manager adjust to change menality of the boys, the season would have been over.

They should have left Mourinho, at least Man-U is still in the Champions league and this is just Christmas. He has time to turn things around. One of the challenge he is facing is his not able to sign Coulibaly, a central defender to stabilise the backend of the team. Maybe, he should have found a solution to the problem as the season progresses.
