Bendel Insurance Gains Promotion to NPFL, Join Gombe United and Kada City After NNL Super 8 Success

Nigeria's foremost club, Bendel Insurance, now called, Insurance, have gained promotion to the elite league after a decade in the lower division.

The Edo state team defeated Shooting Stars of Ibadan 1-0 at the Enyimba International Stadium Aba on Wednesday afternoon to return to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

Insurance nows joins Gombe United and Kada city as NNL promoted team to NPFL.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, Kada City and Gombe United qualify to the elite division from the Northern Conference after playing out a goalless draw.

Insurance are unbeaten, yet to concede in three games, amassed 9 points in the group games and have scored five goals.

Insurance is schedule to play its first NPFL game on January 13 against Rivers United at Amasermaka Stadium Port Harcourt. Though, filas reaching says the match may be postponed.
