Ladan Bosso Invite 45 Players for Flying Eagles Screening

The Flying Eagles have stepped up training for next month’s U20 AFCON qualifiers in Togo with as many as 45 players battling for places on the final squad.

Most of the players are drawn from the NPFL with a sprinkling from non-league clubs. This comes just as a detailed fixtures schedule for the qualifiers in Togo has been made public.

Coach Ladan Bosso has led his assistants in screening the U20 boys twice a day at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

The Flying Eagles will open their qualifying campaign on November 19 against Cote d’Ivoire at Stade Municipal in Lome, Togo, by 4pm local time.

Their next Group B clash will be against arch-rivals Ghana on November 22. Meanwhile,  Hosts Togo, Niger, Benin and Burkina Faso are in Group A.

The semifinals are slated for November 28 with the final and third-place matches to be played on December 1
