MTE Football Trials: A New Way Players Are Scouted in Nigeria - Amid Insecurity, COVID and Vaccination Challenges [Register Now]

Since the outbreak of Corona Virus, lockdown and now the government effort to vaccinate the people as well as the  controversy surrounding the vaccination itself, had led to all kinds of traveling embargoes and the need to distance oneself for safety. No scout or Agent you invite to Nigeria today would like to come. 

Nigeria government agencies PTF and NCDC do not allow large gathering and has moved to stop such gathering of young and upcoming footballers across the country. 

All the scouting programs scheduled in Nigeria since 2020, (at least the ones I know of), didn't hold. Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge, F5 Sports Scouting Program, Diamond Sport Agency recruitment in Nigeria...were either postponed several times and later cancelled indefinitely. 

Indeed, some fraudulent elements are using such excuses now to advertise scouting  programs, which will be cancelled and money extorted from naive players and their parents. 

The New Way to Scout Players Now

Organizers of Masterclass Talent Exhibition (MTE) has discovered a new way to get foreign scouts and agents to scout talents from Nigeria, which is more effective than inviting just one agency, maybe one or two scouts to come to Nigeria. 

Of course, bringing foreign agents, scouts and coaches to Nigeria is capital intensive. You have to pay their tro and fro flight tickets, five star hotel accommodation and feeding, then transportation and  provide security officers to ensure their safety here. That run into millions of Naira, which no bank can give you a loan for such project. 

During the lockdown in 2020, GreenHunters Sports International, organizers of MTE, had several Zoom online meetings with their affiliate agencies, scouts and coaches from Europe and America. We also participated by watching VVV Venlo digital Scouting program on Golden Cleats App and undergoing training on how to effectively host an Virtual Football trials. . 

Virtual Football Scouting/ Trials

MTE 2021 has been structured to host such Virtual (Online) Football Trials that gives a more global outlook, where players selected to participate will be viewed all around the world. The program will be shot on video and streamed LIVE on the internet... Links will be sent to several foreign Coaches, Scouts and Agents to participate online and make first hand selection of players by themselves. 

After the program, a Promotional video clips will be produced for all players who performed so well. These video clips will be specifically sent to several Clubs, Scouts and Agents in our network. 

How to Participate as a Player

An Interested player will first register to undergo a one day Talent Assessment Program to ascertain the level of his game, if he has what it takes to participate in the Online Football Trials. You can book now for the next Talent Assessment Program scheduled to hold Monday May10, 2021
