"The Prophet" The Man Who Gave Spiritual Support to Some Top International Players in Africa - Dies At 57

 

Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as Prophet TB Joshua is dead. He died in his Church on Saturday June 5, 2021 as disclosed by his lawyer, Olalekan Ojo. 

“I here confirm that the man of God, pastor TB Joshua passed away on Saturday after his evening program,” Ojo told AFP news agency.

“God has taken his servant Prophet TB Joshua home … His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God,” the church wrote on its Facebook page on Sunday, without giving further details.

TB Joshua was the founder of "The Synagogue Church of All Nations", a Christian church in Lagos, which attracted a lot of international worshippers from all around the world

His Soccer Predictions

TB Joshua had given several accurate prediction during his ministry on earth. He accurately predicted that Germany will win the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and it was so. 

TB Joshua also accurately predicted that Super Eagles of Nigeria will qualify for 2010 FIFA World Cup by beating Kenya, and Tunisia will flutter against Mozambique in their last qualification match and it was so 

His Spiritual Support to Teams and Players

It was reported that the victorious Ghana U-20 National Team consulted and received spiritual support from Prophet TB Joshua

Former Ghana U-20 midfielder, Gladson Awako, has revealed that Nigerian pastor, TB Joshua, contributed to Ghana’s 2009 FIFA U-20 world cup triumph in Egypt by offering the team prayers before each game and arranging the order of Ghana’s penalty takers in the final against Brazil.

Some notable Nigerian football stars had attended TB Joshua's church at some point for miracle healings and spiritual support for their career. Those spotted included Daniel Amokachi, Nwankwo Kanu, Joseph Yobo, Ogenyi Onazi, among others. 

TB Joshua had been seen as some worth, controversial, with critics, even among the Christians questioning his claims and whether his powers is from God or from other sources...saying he profited from people seeking hope. But yet, we have seen a lot of elites, researchers and luminaries flocked his Church. 

In 2009, days after his victory in the country’s presidential election, late Ghanaian president John Atta Mills, flew to Nigeria for a thanksgiving service at the Synagogue Church. Mr Mills said the prophet had accurately predicted his victory at the poll.

Many African presidents, senior government officials, international football players, musicians and other high-profile guests troop to worship in his church.

TB Joshua rose to prominence in the 1990s at a time when there was an explosion of televangelism in Nigeria and many parts of Africa. He was also popular in South America where he had held many religious campaigns.

The father of three was one of Africa’s most influential preachers with millions of television and social media followers. More than 15,000 people from Nigeria and abroad attend his Sunday services..
