Gernot Rohr's Sack On the Table Despite Meeting Target: Nigerian Bank Agreed to Pay-off the German NGN600m

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has been sacked as coach of the Nigeria Senior National team, but a staggering N600m will be given to the German tactician by the Nigerian Football Federation

The decision to sack the Franco-German gaffer was taken after a bank associated with the senior National team of Nigeria, agreed to pay the termination clause in the contract of the coach.

The Nigeria football Federation (NFF) have communicated the decision to the former Niger and Burkina Faso coach, and have started the search for a new coach who will pilot the affairs of the team for the 2022 World Cup Play offs, and also the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year.

German tactician has already qualified Super Eagles for African nations Cup and is on course to meet set target of qualifying Nigeria for Qatar 2022 World Cup. But for some unacceptable results of throwing away a 4 - 0 lead to draw Sierra Leone 4 - 4 and lost 0 - 1 to Central African Republic both at home in Lagos.

Although, Rohr performance could be scored high in terms of result, but Super Eagles are far from being convincing as Nigeria get ready to play in AFCON in January and World Cup Play-off in March 2022.

Nigeria is likely to face any of Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Mali or DR Congo for a place at Qatar 2022
