Mohamed Salah Scores First AFCON 2021 Goal In A Controversial Win Against Guinea-Bissau

Mohamed Salah scored his first goal for Egypt in the ongoing Africa cup of nations (AFCON 2021), to give them a 0-1 win over Guinea Bissau in Garoua on Saturday.

Salah's 69th minute effort came despite a largely anonymous performance from the Egyptian forward as his team struggled to beat the minnows from west Africa

The result was clouded in controversy as Guinea Bissau had a late equaliser ruled out after a VAR check. Guinea-Bissau thought they'd levelled through Mama Balde but the goal was ruled out after a VAR check.

In the build up to the goal, Balde was with the ball and successfully dribbled the Egyptian player who turned his back and first held Balde by the shots and in trying to pull away the Bissau midfielder push the Egyptian defender by the shoulder and went on to score a beautiful goal outside the eighteen yard box. but the referee, after consulting the pitchside monitor, decided he was the one that fouled the Egyptian defender.

Earlier,Mohamed Salah scored anexcellent volley also thought to be an offside as Egypt won 0 - 1 against Guinea-Bissau, what many applauded as a gallant display by the West Africans.
