Moses Simon Put Up Another Five Star Performance Against Sudan - Wins Man of the Match

The Nigerian attacking midfielder Moses Simon, was the Tormentor-in-Chief against the Sudanese, and crowned his effort with the third goal in the match.

Moses Simon's pacy and mersmerising dribbles from the flank was something the Sudanese struggled to contain all through the game. Something he started in Super Eagles first game against Egypt and most analysts like Austin JJ Okocha thought he should have been named man of the match in that first game, but his teammate Kelechi Iheanacho got it.

Simon has been a key player in starting attack for this Nigerian side. And in the encounter against Sudan, he scored one goal and an assist after making several incursions at the opponent's eighteen yard box.

The Nantes of France winger teed up Samuel Chukwueze for Nigeria’s opening goal in the third minute, then scored his side’s third goal a minute after the break.

Moses Simon has been named man of the match following Nigeria’s 3- 1 win against Sudan at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I’m happy to win this award, it’s nice to be named the best player on the night,” Simon said after the game

“The award is not for me alone, it’s for the entire team. The most important thing is that we won and I’m happy about it.”
