Africa Qualifiers: World Cup Playoffs First Leg Results & the Second Leg Fixtures

 


First leg games played on Friday, March 25 saw Algeria winning away through Islam Slimani strike  40 minutes at the top of first half against Cameroon and held on till the final whistle, giving the North Africans a slight advantage going into the second leg. 


Tunisia also got an away win from an own goal deflection from Moussa Sissako at the 36minutes of the first half. 


Yet, another own goal saw the Pharaohs of Egypt prevail over the Terenga lions of Senegal also taking a slight advantage going into the second leg in Dakar on Tuesday. 


The North African teams (Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco) executed their first leg games so well, but the result on ground show anything can still happen in all the venues of the final show down on Tuesday. 


The "Jollof" derby between Ghana and Nigeria is far from over after a first leg dominated by Ghana in Kumasi. The second leg encounter promise to be tension soaked game and the Super Eagles must show off their striking prowess in Abuja. Below are the results and second leg fixtures:
