FIFA U20 Women's World Cup Official Song By Latin Grammy Nominated Jorge Castro

With the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2022™ set to kick off in less than two weeks’ time, FIFA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) have today unveiled the Official Song, Vamos Juntas  featuring Rebeca Malavassi, Tony Succar, Isabella Castro Gámez and the female choir of the Franz Liszt Schule.

Produced and composed by Latin GRAMMY®- nominated Costa Rican artist Jorge Castro, Vamos Juntas – the Official Song of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2022™ – carries a strong and inspiring message of empowerment, unity and solidarity, values that represent the tournament and the exciting international talent that will showcase their skills on the pitch in Costa Rica next month.

With a catchy and cheerful rhythm, the theme song of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2022 will strike a chord with fans and players alike and be a key element in the overall experience at the tournament, which will take place from 10 to 28 August at the Estadio Nacional and the Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium.

The lead vocals for the song are provided by renowned Costa Rican singer Rebeca Malavassi. Joining Rebeca on vocals are Isabella Castro Gámez and the Franz Liszt Schule girls’ choir, while the track also features the talented and internationally renowned artist Tony Succar, winner of the 2019 Latin GRAMMY® prizes for Best Salsa Album and Producer of the Year.

“It is a true honour to be able to contribute my talent to such an important event for Costa Rica. We should feel proud and continue to deliver events that put our country in the world spotlight and help boost the economy. I am extremely grateful to FIFA and the local organisers of the tournament. Working with such talented artists as Rebeca, Tony Succar, my daughter Isabella and the girls from the Franz Liszt Schule is a pleasure,” commented Jorge Castro.

“I feel very fortunate to have been invited to participate in this event and to be able to give all my support through music to so many girls who have worked very hard to get this far and continue to write the history of women’s football worldwide,” said Rebeca Malavassi.
