Nigeria's Flamingos are in the Semi Finals for the First time After Beating USA in the U17 Women's World Cup in India

 

Nigeria Flamingos out scored the U.S WYNT 4 -3 in a penalty shoot out, to proceed to the Semi finals in the on going U17 Women's World Cup in India. The highly contested match ended 1 - 1 at regulation time, and the game had to be decided on penalty.


Nigeria's Goalkeeper Faith Omilana proved her class as the Flamingos sailed into the semi-finals at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup following a 4-3 penalty shootout win against United States of America.


The 16-year-old also saved two penalties to help the Flamingos beat the Americans. He was the strumbling block and saved several goal bound shots, as the U.S team mounted pressure on a highly determined Nigerian side.
