All 32 sides have now played their opening games at the World Cup, so there is plenty to uncover as each team are now off the mark in Qatar. Saudi Arabia win over Argentina may have been the biggest surprise. And then, Japan followed the same script to record yet another up set against Germany.

Well, over the previous world cups Japan may be seen as real giant killers and had shown they can be major contestant for the trophy. But for Saudi, no one saw it coming. It was going to be a walk over for an Argentine side that had gone 53 games unbeaten stint before that faithful day when everything refuse to go right for the Lionel Messi led team.

Now, the German machine, four times world cup winner, also risk being eliminated at the group stage by a high scoring Spanish team. Spain was the only side that recorded 7 - 0 win in their first game, apart from England 6 - 2 win over Iran.

Argentina will need to work hard after losing to what you may call the weakest team in the group, going by precedence. Well, Saudi are now well motivated to do the impossible. Winning Argentina feels same like winning the world cup trophy. I hope they are not satisfied and contented with that result, but willing to continue to put up a solid front against Poland. We may see Saudi top group C, and that it self, will be a miracle.

It's looking like England will have a fine run in this tournament, but I think it is still early to predict which team will eventually win the world Cup 2022.
