It is no doubt a “new dawn” for Nigeria football as corporate brands are now showing more interest in partnering with leagues and football clubs this season 2022/23.

Moreover, over six Nigerian clubs have already sealed a sponsorship deals this season. And there are rumours that clubs like 3SC, Enugu Rangers and Bayelsa queens will soon close a deal. Here are the clubs that have already sealed a sponsorship deal:

This kit sponsorship renewal was formalised at the 2022/23 jersey unveiling ceremony held recently at the Edo State Government house in Benin, Edo State.

The newly signed deal will see the bank raise the value of the contract with club from N50 million to N75 million as the club got promotion from NNL to NPFL and will vies for honours in the top flight league this season.

2. Akwa United Deal with 1xBet worth N50 million

Akwa United have announced the signing of a N50 million, one year, shirt sponsorship deal with the giant online betting platform, 1XBET

The partnership deal will see The Promise Keepers display 1XBET in front of its jersey starting from the 2022/2023 season of the NPFL as well as advertising the betting platform’s products and services during football matches and on the club’s social media pages.

5. Edo Queen Deal with Peculiar Ultimate Concern (PUC) worth N35 million

Peculiar Ultimate Concern (PUC) also renewed their kit sponsorship with Edo queens. The deal is worth N35 million for 2022/23 season.

Edo queens, perhaps the only women's team that has a partnership deal with a corporate brand in Nigeria. The kit sponsorship renewal was also formalised at the 2022/23 jersey unveiling ceremony held recently at the Edo State.

6. Remo stars partnetship with Bet9ja/Valuejet not formalized deal

Remo stars joggles with displaying bet9ja and Value jet on their shirts because the owner of Remo stars, Kunle Soname, is also the owner of Bet9ja and Value jet airline. I don't think their is a formalized deal.

Valuejet has been the airline that move Remo team around the country and abroad, especially when they have continental matches. It is natural for Remo Stars to promote both Bet9ja and Valuejet.

We will continue to update this list as we get information of new deals for 2022/23 season.
