Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro arrived in South Africa on Friday to scout Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili.
Peseiro is shopping for a new shot-stopper to help solve the goalkeeping crisis in his team. Current first-choice Francis Uzoho has struggled in recent outings for the three-time African champions.
Peseiro will be in the stands when Nwabili’s club, Chippa United, host Golden Arrows in a league game on Saturday.
Chippa United expressed their delight in having the Portuguese grace their training session on Friday.
“Privileged to host Jose Peseiro, head coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles here in Gqeberha, a moment of inspiration for us at Chippa United,” reads the statement.
Nwabili has been in fantastic form for Chippa United this season. The 27-year-old has kept seven clean sheets in 15 games for the Chilli Boys.
