Umar Sadiq Upping His Game At Real Sociedad - Scored Another Cracker At the Weekend

 

Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq scored another screamer for his club side, Real Sociedad, in the second La Liga game in a row to show he is getting back on top of his game

He is gradually hitting peak form in time for next month’s AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.

Sadiq suffered a torn ACL and missed the large majority of the 2022-23 campaign. The forward made his way back to the training ground earlier in pre-season and has now made a full return, playing most time as a sub from the bench. 

Sadiq scored Saturday in a 1-1 draw at Osasuna.Saturday’s effort was beautiful as he eliminated his markers before he fired home from outside the box for the equaliser.

This was after his first goal of the season against Sevilla also in La Liga last week. Now, he has scored again, gradually building such mental confidence to hit the striking force he actually possess. 

He dedicated that effort to the medical staff at his club who made it possible for him to return to action after his major injury.

Nigeria football fans are excited at his recent form and eventually become a second striking option for the Super Eagles during AFCON games in January
