Jollof Derby in Marrakesh: Which Jollof is Better, Ghana or Nigeria?

This is not a friendly game, It's about which Jollof is better, Ghana or Nigeria?

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to face their West African rivals, Ghana Black stars in what promises to be an exciting encounter known as the Jollof Derby.

The highly anticipated match will take place on Friday, March 22nd, at the Grand Stade de Marrakesh in Morocco.

After Ghana Black Stars ran away with the Qatar 2022 World Cup ticket on away goal basis in Abuja, this is the time to settle the scores at Marrakesh in Morocco.

Even Ghanaians know Nigeria's Jollof is by far better, but they always manage to steal the show at the grandstand. At this point in time, Super Eagles are head and shoulders better than the current Black stars team, in terms of quality of players, playing style, results and current FIFA ranking. But the Ghanaians are so confident they will beat Super Eagles again.

Recently, it has been heartache for Ghana fans, especially during afcon in Cote d'ivoire when they resulted to violence attack of their coach, Chris Hughton, following a shock defeat to minnow team like Cape Verde. And when they crashed out of the tournament from an embarrassing draw with Mozambique.

Ghana have gone to re-appoint the coach with the magic wand, Otto Addo, as their new coach following the sack of Chris Hughton at the end of the dismal first round exit at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. What will Otto Cook up in this friendly game in Marrakesh?

Super Eagles had grown in leaps and bounds since the Abuja debacle. The Nigerian team stole the show in afcon Cote d'ivoire and was the favourite to lift the trophy, but also succumbed at the last minute to the host Nation.

Nigeria is also bringing an interim coach Finidi George to the forray. NFF couldn't keep their Portugal tactician after a contract negotiation breakdown, Jose Peseiro decided to quit and refuse to return even with a better offer.

Finidi was his assistant and head coach of Enyimba FC, and many fans has clamoured that Finidi be appointed as the permanent head coach. This friendly will go a long way to determine NFF decision on who take over as head coach of Nigeria national team.
