Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and How the Remaining Premier League Games Could Play Out

Arsenal Now Believe they Can Go All the Way, But Is Man City Ready to Drop Points, while Liverpool Lurk Behind?

• Arsenal Hoping Man City will Drop Points, Should Not Slip Themselves

• Will Man United vs Arsenal and Man City vs Tottenham be the deciding games?

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday's North London Derby.

Mikel Arteta's side are now one point clear of second place Manchester City after securing all three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium courtesy of an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz in a ruthless first-half clinic from the Gunners. However, they were made to weather a late storm from Ange Postecoglou's side as goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min ensured it was a nervy finish.

City reduced the gap at the top of the table to a solitary point after defeating Nottingham Forest in Sunday's late kick-off. Goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland were enough for Pep Guardiola's side.

For Arsenal, it continues their impressive form of late which has seen them lose just one Premier League game in 2024. Yet, they will still need City to drop points in the season's final five games if they are to deliver a first league title to the Emirates Stadium since 2004.
