John Mikel Obi: Where Do I Go From Here? (As His 11th Year Contract In Chelsea Draws to An End)

John Mikel Obi, Super Eagles' captain has not featured for his club Chelsea this season and the Nigeria national team technical adviser Gernot Rohr has expressed great concern of his future... especially with respect to the level of performance expected of a team Captain.

The Nigeria international is currently in the final year of his contract at the Stamford Bridge having enjoyed 11 fruitful years being a Roman Army. And now seems the time for him to consider making a move to another club... where he may be given a leading role and a more regular playing time.

Mikel has won everything being some sort of fringe player in Chelsea and member of the euphoric team that won Uefa Champions league, Europa Cup, and four Premier league trophies.

Indeed most key players of that squad: Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Solomon Kalu, Petre Cech... have all moved on in their career.

Mikel has a lot of football left in him and he is expected to move into another top flight team maybe in England or other places in Europe. Most Nigerian fans who showed concern said Mikel should rather give up fighting for a place in Conte's team and quickly move to another club where his skills will be better appreciated.
