Obafemi Martins scored a hat-trick as Shanghai Shenhua fought back to claim a 4-2 win over Hebei China Fortune on Saturday.

The 33-year-old gave a stunning performance in his first league game of the season as his team grabbed their second win of the season in the Chinese Super League

After a goalless first half, Zhang Chengdong got the second period off to a blistering start with the opening effort that fired Manuel Pellegrini's side ahead in the 48th minute before the Nigeria international restored parity for the 2017 Chinese FA Cup champions in the 62nd minute.

Two minutes later, Ezequiel Lavezzi fired the visitors ahead again but the former Newcastle United forward pulled one back for his second goal of the day.

Fredy Guarin's 82nd minute effort extended Shanghai Shenhua's lead before Martins sealed the enthralling encounter at the Hongkou Stadium with his 90th minute goal.

The win takes Shanghai Shenhua to the sixth spot in the Chinese Super League log with seven points from four games.

On Tuesday, they host Kashima Antlers for their next fixture in the AFC Champions League.
