Junior Lokosa, top scorer in the NPFL with 16 goals, will finally get a chane with the Super Eagles, this has been confirmed by the Nigeria coach himself, Gernot Rohr.
The 25-year old has been in impressive goalscoring form for Kano Pillars in what is only his first full season, and there have been calls for him to be given a chance with the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup and the Nigeria coach has confirmed the striker will get his chance.
“We will have a look at him (Lokosa),” Rohr was quoted
“He has been scoring goals.
“He has been observed by Salisu (Yusuf) (Eagles chief coach).”
However, Lokosa is most likely to be involved when a locally-based national team take on Spanish La Liga Atletico Madrid on May 22 in Uyo. If he performs, then he may have an eleventh hour call up to the Nigeria world cup team.
