Amaju Pinnick Confirmed Super Falcons World cup Preparations Plan
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Amaju Pinnick confirmed to the media, the preparations plan to ensure that Super Falcons compete favorably in the upcoming FIFA Women World Cup in France this June.
Nigeria women national team have dominated Africa, won nine out the eleven edition of Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON), but have not been able to make impact at the world scene. One of the reasons for their poor performance could be attributed to their poor preparations.
Watch Super Falcons struggle to win the recently concluded AWCON, but this time NFF has gone ahead to plan a better preparations for the girls going to the world cup.
Pinnick said "there are only two Fifa windows open before the world cup and instead of Super Falcons playing just an international friendly, we have decided the team participate in a four nations tournament in China, that will involve China, Korea and Canada this January; then in April, another eight nations tournament in Cyprus. With these two tournaments, the coaching crew will be able to perfect strategies to excute the world cup better and girls will be match fit, rearing to go."
