Football Legend Nwankwo Kanu Watching Proceedings In Egypt - Read What He Has to Say About AFCON 2019

Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu is in Egypt, enjoying the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations. air his opinions on the proceedings in Egypt so far which he voiced out in a short video published on CAF’s social media platforms.

*On Rating Of AFCON 2019 So Far
It’s a fantastic atmosphere. Egypt is a good country to be in . The people here love football, and the games are going very well.

*Kanu’s Appraisal of Super Eagles’ Matches So Far
We played the first match and won
. We played the second game and won – we’re relaxed now. You can see we can play football.

Against Guinea, we created clear chances, like where the striker Ighalo had chance to pass the ball to Musa to finish up, but he didn’t do so. And some other couple of chances. But they played a good game.

They (Guinea) threatened our defence , but I think we had the more clear chances to score than them.

*On Who Will Win AFCON 2019 Title
Normally, I don’t like to call it at this stage. I always want the group games to finish, then we will know who is who, and who can make it up there. For now, the race is open. I don’t really know who is the strongest – everybody is panicking because they just played first or second game. When the group phase is over , we can see.

*Message To Kanu’s Fans
To all my fans, wherever they are, I say thank you for supporting me. Please keep supporting Kanu. I appreciate you for all these years you have been with me.

When I arrived in Egypt, from the airport to the stadiums, people have shown me love – people from Algeria, Tunisia, everywhere. I appreciate every body, please live a good healthy life and enjoy it.
