I'll like to start by sharing my testimony. How I took advantage of the Corona virus pandemic and the global fiasco to finish writing this eBook I started sometime ago.

The lockdown in the city where I live, Lagos Nigeria, afford me the opportunity to sit down at home, without the usual daily hustle, to work on the book. 

While fear and uncertainty filled the air about the spread and fatality of the virus, I decided I am not going to be calling everyone over the phone, peddling such anxiety  and hopelessness, rather I am going to respond differently. I said to myself, I am unique and I am going to do something productive within the period. 

So I will wake up early each morning, dress up and go jogging. When I come back, I take my Barth and breakfast, then I put on my laptop and begin to work on the book. Alas, I have finished the book today. Congratulations to myself!

Discovering who you are, and what you stand for is so important in life! Otherwise, you will be riding with the tide, and traveling with the bandwagon, which is the reason many fail and live a frustrated life.

You were designed by God to be unique and stand out among others. Personal Branding is God’s idea. There are about six billion people on planet earth today; not one of them have your fingerprint. Wow! Your Fingerprint is your personal brand seal. It cannot be replicated.

Uniqueness makes you so rare and valuable. No one does it the way you do. Anything that is rare is valued. That is why diamond, gold, silver is so valuable. That is why designer clothes are more valued than mass production. You are not mass production. You are not the masses; you are uniquely built with rare talents, vision and special purpose to accomplish in life. 

What will come to your mind when you come across Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Believer’s Love World Ministry on the sidewalk? An awe of divine potency and flamboyancy will immediately fill your heart. This man has clearly differentiated himself from others in his area of endeavor. This is what I call Personal Branding. 

Come to think of it, Jesus Christ is the greatest personal brand ever... More popular than Coca cola, Microsoft, Google or Apple. Nobody ever talk like Jesus, nobody could do the miracle he did. His purpose in life was so clear (Read the Bible, John 10:10), his message was so unique and the way he conveyed it was so powerful... These are attributes of a great personal brand. 

Personal Branding is to uniquely package yourself into a specialized value that makes you so visible (stand out) among others in your chosen endeavor. Every professional organization tries to create one. As a celebrity, politician or a career minded person, you too should have one.

What do you stand for? What value do you promise? And what value can you deliver in your own unique way? How does your target audience perceive you? How does the world see you? Imagine you create a personal brand that will attract you Fame, Material and financial prosperity. Wow!

You should be known for something!
